April Snow Falls bring...

A Snow Day!  In fact the 3rd snow day that week.  We live in South Dakota and when spring storms hit in South Dakota they HIT.  This storm moved in Tuesday, April 9th starting with freezing rain which weighed down the trees breaking limbs and power lines.  After the freezing rain came 6 inches of snow.  The boys didn't mind the storm in the least but as the days progressed some craziness ensued!

1. SPRING!
2. Power companies came from surrounding states to help after this storm.  90,000 people were affected by power outages!
3. The tree in our yard that will have to come down :(
4. NO SCHOOL announcements. Cheers and squealing from all the boys.
5. The calm before the rucus.
6. The days had plenty of video games with them....that's just the way it goes sometimes.
7. We love drawing on their school pictures!  Preston did a great job creating Darth Preston Vader.
8. Lego Yoda head and Q-tips...duh.
9. I escaped for a bit to get some final script work done at Jen's.  There was no work to be done in a housefull of boys! Only chaotic, rambunctious energy flying around.
10. The Yoda stickers on my laptop sure help bring the force to me.  
11. Preston and I did some birthday party shopping and this is what he found.  Way too creepy for me to buy!
12. Preston enjoying the space of our new minivan!  It's nice.

March Madness...in my head

So, the pictures are ending up being the same thing again and again. March is a super busy time yet my pictures are the day to day same as always...so is the madness just in my head!?  Hmmm, maybe I need to think about that.

1. the way I start my morning.  a little dessert, a little starwars, a little milk.
2. sick morning.  mornings are hard regardless and being sick only makes it worse..."get dressed and lets see how you feel after breakfast."

12 on 16...it works!

Seriously folks, I'm getting WORSE at this!  I missed the 12th altogether.  And actually, it was probably best because that day just sucked.  I know my mother-in-law didn't like that word but it was the day.  

Sooooo, the 16th was much better to document although documenting the harder days is probably part of the process too but I didn't and it's more important to get something and keep moving forward.  Whew...deep breath after that run on sentence!  
Here was my 12 on 16...

1. my beautiful baby sleeping...as they often do at this age...on the couch...in front of the tv (on weekends)
2. the youngest up early to watch cartoons as he sits in his cocoon
3. the sweet cartoon he is watching with an angry, fanged monkey?!
4. a favorite breakfast of poached eggs - just like grampa makes 
5. fruit for the smoothie - mmmmmm.
6. the day the pictures were supposed to be taken(we didn't really have conferences that day though...)
7. the calendar showing how quickly days pass
8. the actual day the pictures were taken with a nice weather reference
9. lovely fingernails.  since drinking smoothies i'm growing strong, beautiful fingernails like my mom!...something i've longed for my entire life.  and when you have nice fingernails, you can paint them!

The end of January almost here and finally I'm getting it posted.  Really, I just need to do this first thing on the 13th!  I'll work on that.

Ha!  Try the beginning of February!  Some days I feel like I'm too old for computers when I can't get them to work.  And then I think "I AM NOT THAT OLD!"  It took me way too long to be able to get the pictures to this post.  It just wouldn't work!  argh...BUT here they are.

12. 11:10 and I called it a night.  The morning comes early!
